Logitech M570 Wireless Trackball Mouse Driver for Windows and Mac OS X
The classic trackball mouse belongs to a niche crowd, but after using one, it’s hard to go back to the more mainstream point-and-click method of navigation. Logitech has introduced a new wireless trackball solution (via USB adapter) into this underrepresented category of computer mice, the M570. This advanced navigating peripheral allows users the option of simple plug-and-play activation or stepping up their gaming experience with downloadable software. Its only faults are in its poorly placed browser buttons and scroll wheel.
The M570 has a dark grey, matte finish contrasted by the bold marble-looking blue trackball. The design is modest and not overly loud like most gaming mice and desktops tend to be. The structure of the device was comfortable, and the way my hand curved around its body felt natural. To the right of the mouse buttons are back and forward browser buttons, for quick and easy internet navigation.
The M570 weighs a light 4.8 ounces pounds, but held firmly in place even in my most intense gaming moments, by the four rubber stoppers for resistance. Also on the underside of the device is the on/off switch and a place for the AA battery (included) to power the M570 that also doubles as a holding place for the thumbnail USB wireless adapter.
The M570 was responsive when pitted up against everyday tasks and the gaming grid. Its 18 months of suggested battery life from Logitech and its versatility of use on any surface (since there is no mouse waggling required) proved it was a reliable competitor. The Logitech Wireless Trackball M570 mouse provides a solid and reliable performance, coupled with a set of optional features to enhance the experience.
